Terms

Last updated 29 August 2026

This page covers the Nostia marketing website, the beta waitlist, and the Nostia app. It is written in plain language on purpose.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means you'd like to be considered for the Nostia closed beta. It is not a guarantee of access, a purchase, or an account. We'll email you once if and when a place opens; you can ask to be removed at any time.

Wellbeing, not clinical care

Nostia is a wellbeing journal. It is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a diagnostic tool, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis or need help, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

Your account

Nostia creates an account for you on first launch — anonymously, or tied to your Google account if you choose that. There is no password to lose: access comes from the device itself, from your backup key, or from signing in with the same Google account. Keeping that Google account secure is on you. You can delete your Nostia account at any time from Settings, or by the routes on this page. We may close an account used to abuse the service or other people.

The site and the app, as-is

This website and the app are provided “as is,” without warranties. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, or that reflections will be accurate. Your journal is encrypted with a key we do not hold: if you lose both the device and your backup key, we cannot recover your entries — not as a policy, but because it is not possible for us. We may update the page, the beta programme, or these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Nostia is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and disputes go to the courts of Cyprus. If you are a consumer in the EU, this does not deprive you of the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
